Sunway Medical Centre, Sunway City welcomed the StealthStation Surgical Navigation and Imaging Systems, transforming outcomes for patients in need of cranial and spine surgery with an innovative intraoperative medical imaging system.
A 360-degree scan is taken, allowing the surgeon enhanced & precise visualisation of a patient’s anatomy. This enables the surgeon to accurately confirm the intraoperative position of the patient’s anatomy throughout the procedure while also confirming the placement of surgical hardware, even before leaving the OR.
The O-arm system provides flexibility for surgeons to achieve As Low As Reasonably Achievable (ALARA) standards. Multiple image protocols allow the surgeon flexibility to choose the appropriate dose for the patient based on individual clinical objectives, while also improving their ability to perform MIS procedures.
